FALLEN WHISKERS JEWELRY DISCLAIMER

Fallen Whiskers jewelry pieces are made from 925 sterling silver and other metals. The pieces and inclusions are delicate and it is important to care for them properly. Refunds, replacements or exchanges will not be accepted due to improper wear, care, storage, handling, or untimely aging of your jewelry piece. This includes wearing of any plating (gold, ruthenium, antique, etc.) on your piece, tarnishing and/or discoloration of sterling silver, metals or inclusions. I do not have control over how the jewelry is cared for once it leaves my studio, therefore I cannot guarantee it won’t tarnish or discolor. I include care instructions with every order and it is up to you to care for your jewelry properly once it’s received.

Please be mindful that your piece was created to be worn daily, but normal wear will still happen. It is up to you to follow the care instructions as well as inspect your piece before each use for loose hardware, etc.. All pieces are made from high-quality jeweler-grade resin, which is a durable plastic and under typical use will last for time to come. Each piece is as durable as possible but I do recommend following the care card provided with your piece to keep your jewelry looking new.

Handmade jewelry can have minor imperfections such as bubbles, pits, and uneven texture or shape. Inclusions can float or sink, flecks and other add-ins can do the same over time. These are not considered defects and refunds will not be given in these cases. Be proud to buy and wear uniquely, handmade with love items.

Refunds will not be given if the goods have been damaged by you. The following are reasons that I have no control over and requests for refunds will not be honored:

• Chipped, cracked inclusions (This should not happen if your piece is properly cared for, but if it does I will work with you to determine if the inclusion can be repaired, as an alternative to a refund) 
• General wear and tear including jewelry that has bent out of shape or oxidized (tarnished).
• Plating or oxidized 'antique' finish that has worn off. Plating is a metal coating that is bonded electronically or chemically to a base metal to give a different colour or finish - ie. Gold Plate. Some manufacturers will plate with a heavier thickness than others and so it may last longer, but please be aware that plating will eventually wear down over time, depending on use, care, etc.

All resin will eventually yellow, even the best they produce will in time, it happens. I use a high quality jeweler-grade resin for my pieces to ensure longevity. There are many factors that go into how quickly your piece, if ever, will change. Are you a smoker? Do you smoke in your home? Do you cook with grease often? Are you a swimmer who forgets to remove your jewelry? Use harsh chemicals around your jewelry? Sunbathe often? Lotions, tanners, hand sanitizer, makeup? I cannot guarantee that your piece will never yellow, but I can say that with proper care it should not mold or spot.

In the event of a jewelry setting fault or breakage, I will try my best to remedy the situation by referring the issue back to my silversmith. Please note that resizing or soldering broken pieces is not possible due to the fact that I use jewelry grade resin to set the inclusions and high heat will damage the inclusions. If the setting is deemed faulty and damage or breakage is confirmed not due to improper care, a replacement may be worked out. This will be handled on a case by case basis.
